How We Turn Lessons into a Musical Journey
Our instrumental lessons are led by a talented team of music teachers, with pupils learning in carefully matched pairs based on ability. Learning with a partner creates a sense of camaraderie—students encourage each other, share progress, and stay motivated. With a learning buddy, pupils get used to playing together, and build confidence to perform.
Music isn’t just about playing notes—it’s about listening, timing, and working together. Pairing learners helps them develop these skills naturally, setting them up for ensemble playing in the future.
Pupils learn the same well-known songs on every instrument for our bronze silver and gold levels, meaning they can easily transition to playing songs as a band with drummers, guitarists and pianists playing together.

Personalised Learning at an Affordable Price
One-to-one lessons can be expensive, but group sessions can sometimes feel too broad. Pairs offer the best of both worlds—affordable tuition with enough personal attention to progress effectively.
Parents can easily pay for lessons online, keeping things simple and hassle-free. Plus, every student gets extra support through our interactive, purpose-built music education website, which delivers play along videos designed to reinforce their weekly school classes.

What Your Child Will Learn
We teach pupils the fundamentals of music in a way that is fun, engaging, and tailored to their individual needs.
Key Areas of Learning
- Rhythm – Understanding pulse and timing
- Tempo – Playing at different speeds
- Pitch – Recognising and playing different notes and chords
- Melody – Developing musical phrasing and expression
Our Approach
Pupils follow our exclusive syllabus, designed to build skills step by step. Lessons combine our award levels with technical exercises, graded pieces, and well-known songs, making learning structured but enjoyable.
Our positive, supportive environment ensures that every child gains confidence while progressing at their own pace.

Follow your child’s progress
Parents can keep up to date with how their child is progressing by logging on to their dashboard and accessing our termly reports. We also provide weekly practice diaries and our award levels give clear milestones so parents are always kept in the loop of pupil progression.
Grades or No Grades – You Decide!
We believe in giving pupils the freedom to choose whether they want to take graded exams. While we encourage them as a great way to track progress and build confidence, we understand that not every child wants to sit formal exams.
Following on from our Musical Minds awards syllabus, pupils who want to can choose to do Rockschool and ABRSM grades.
For those who do want to take grades, we fully support them every step of the way. But if a child simply wants to enjoy learning their instrument without exams, that’s absolutely fine too.
